Last night was the final game of the 09-10 season for the Atlanta Thrashers. And what a game it was.

They ended up shutting out the Penguins 1-0 with a goal from Little and some incredible saves by Hedberg. Oh… and a few fights along the way with the highlight by far being Kane vs Cooke:

As it was the last game of the season the Thrashers did their Fan Appreciation Video after the game. Rebecca made it in with the “MOOOOOOSE” and a Bergfors sign, and of course Beth made it with the Slater sign:

So even though we didn’t make the playoffs, it was still a great season. When the team was “on”, they were spectacular. We saw some guys leave and there were quite a few new faces/numbers on the ice (much to Rebecca’s dismay as she worked so hard to get all the names and numbers right), and the “new guys” have certainly made their marks (see above). And as with any sport, there were a lot of ups and downs. But I can safely say that overall we had a great time and cannot wait until next season. Thank you, Thrashers. See you in a few months.
