My free iPhone 4 case… WHEN?

I think Apple is doing a good thing with “buying” a case for everyone who got the iPhone 4. Regardless of the reason, or the decision process it took to get them there, or if it will even make a difference, from a customer service standpoint it is a good thing. There’s just one minor thing…

It ships when? October? Not to sound ungrateful or anything… but that’s ridiculous… (it’s July now…) I mean, really… you delivered a million phones in one day… and it takes two months to ship a piece of plastic… Thanks…

One side benefit of all of Apple giving away a product that other people were selling is that those people seriously reduced the price of their products. So in my email this morning I came across a $6 iPhone 4 case. Not quite free… but cheap enough that I don’t mind ordering one to hold me over until my super-spectacular-koolaid-apple-provided model shows up…
